Goals & Objectives
A new dedicated club
to serve the Owner Drivers and motor sport
enthusiasts of Sharm and Egypt as a whole.
The Club seeks to give its members the
following services:
- Listing on Ghibli Raceway website
-Monthly gathering to do the following: -
- Seminar /
briefings on latest technical updates and
regulations, etc.
- A reception
at the Z Bar. Lounge. Terrace with drinks
and light snacks
- A race
between all OD’s of all existing kart
categories within
Miscellaneous
activities
- Club Orange will give members an opportunity to travel upcoming
World Finals, Formula 1 races, any
significant local motor sport events (Dakkar
Rally, Rally des Pharoans), etc.
- Fortnightly newsletter emailed to all members about motor sport
news inclusive of international, regional
and of course local.
- Club Orange is a club for motor sport enthusiasts, run by motor
sport enthusiasts.

The
Middle East Karting Cup 2007 [1]
(MEKC),
a professional Karting series will
be organized for the first time
across the Middle East in 2007.
Acting as a critical development
feeder for higher motor sport
formulas for all aspiring Middle
East nations seeking a place in the
fast developing motor sport world.
The championship will be over 4
rounds in the regions only
homologated circuits, The Kartdrome
in Dubai, U.A.E. and Ghibli Raceway,
Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. The
championship will be launched to the
regional automotive and tourism
media in Cairo, Egypt during the
Mediterranean Travel Fair on 6th
September, 2006. The championship is
anticipated to start in late
January, 2007 and go on till late
June, 2007. It will consist of three
categories; Juniors (up to16 years
of age), Seniors (17 + years of
age), Masters (+32). A celebrity
charity race will accompany the
final round of the championship. |

The Middle East Karting
Cup (MEKC) is a true spectator events that will
receive high profile television coverage.
International coverage through the specialized motor
sport dedicated channel of Race World and other to
be announced regional sports channels. New media
will come into play this year as live web casts are
also being planned for the event.
The MEKC have created an exciting opportunity for
